Installation & Placement

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on level, stable surface.

  1. Choose location: Place in center of room or area with high humidity, away from walls/furniture (minimum 12 inches clearance).
  2. Check airflow: Ensure air intake and outlet grilles are unobstructed.
  3. Level unit: Adjust feet if necessary to ensure proper operation.
  4. Install drain hose (optional): Attach 5/8" inner diameter hose to drain port for continuous drainage.
  5. Plug into dedicated 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not use in temperatures below 41°F (5°C). Ensure proper ventilation around unit.

First-Time Setup

Power on dehumidifier; set initial preferences.

  1. Insert water tank: Ensure tank is fully seated and empty.
  2. Set humidity level: Press HUMIDITY button to select desired RH% (45-50% recommended for comfort).
  3. Select fan speed: Choose LOW for quiet operation or HIGH for maximum moisture removal.

Operation Modes

Laundry Mode: Higher fan speed for drying clothes in enclosed space. Smart Mode: Automatically adjusts fan speed based on room conditions.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  2. Empty water tank: When FULL light comes on, turn unit off, remove tank, empty, replace securely.
  3. Clean exterior: Wipe with soft, damp cloth; never use harsh chemicals or abrasives.
  4. Clean water tank: Monthly, wash with mild soap solution to prevent mold/mildew.
  5. Check drain hose: Ensure continuous drain hose is clear of obstructions if used.
  6. Off-season storage: Follow proper storage procedure when not in use for extended periods.

WARNING! Always unplug unit before cleaning or maintenance.

Drainage Options

Two methods for water removal: Manual (bucket) and Continuous (hose).

Manual Drainage: Use included 1.5-gallon bucket. When FULL light illuminates, unit stops. Remove bucket, empty, replace to resume operation.

Continuous Drainage: Attach 5/8" ID hose (not included) to drain port at back. Place hose end in floor drain or suitable outlet. Unit will drain continuously without need to empty bucket.

CAUTION! Ensure hose has downward slope without kinks for proper drainage.

Care & Storage

When storing unit for extended period (more than 2 weeks):

  1. Unplug from power outlet.
  2. Empty and clean water tank thoroughly.
  3. Clean air filter and ensure it's completely dry.
  4. Run unit in FAN ONLY mode for 24 hours to dry internal components.
  5. Coil power cord and secure with wrap.
  6. Store in cool, dry place in original packaging if possible.
  7. Cover unit to prevent dust accumulation.
