Installation & Placement

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a level, stable floor.

  1. Choose Location: Place in center of room, at least 12 inches from walls and furniture for proper airflow.
  2. Check Air Vents: Ensure air intake and discharge vents are unobstructed.
  3. Install Casters: Attach casters to base for mobility (if not pre-installed).
  4. Plug into a dedicated 115V AC outlet. Do not use an extension cord.

WARNING! Do not place in closets or confined spaces. Ensure the room temperature is between 41°F (5°C) and 95°F (35°C) for optimal operation.

First-Time Setup

Plug in the unit; the control panel will illuminate.

  1. Insert Bucket: Ensure the water collection bucket is correctly seated.
  2. Power On: Press the POWER button.
  3. Set Humidity: Use the UP/DOWN buttons to set your desired humidity level (40%-60% recommended).
  4. Select Mode: Press MODE to choose between Continuous, Auto (humidistat-controlled), or Timer mode.
  5. Set Timer (Optional): In Timer mode, use UP/DOWN to set the operating duration.

CAUTION! Allow the unit to stand upright for at least 24 hours if it was tilted or laid on its side during transport.

Operation Modes

Three primary operating modes are available.

  1. Continuous Mode: Runs constantly until turned off or the bucket is full. Ignores humidistat setting.
  2. Auto Mode (Default): Unit automatically turns on/off based on the humidistat setting to maintain desired humidity.
  3. Timer Mode: Set a duration (1-24 hrs) for the unit to run before automatically shutting off. Can also be used as a delayed start.

Note: The Auto-Defrost function operates automatically in all modes when low coil temperature is detected.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Unplug the unit before performing any maintenance.

  1. Emptying the Bucket: Remove bucket when full (indicator light will illuminate). Empty water, dry the interior, and reinsert firmly.
  2. Cleaning the Air Filter: Remove filter every 2 weeks or when the Filter Reset light flashes. Wash with warm water and mild detergent. Let dry completely before reinstalling. Press and hold the MODE button for 3 seconds to reset the filter timer.
  3. Cleaning the Exterior: Wipe cabinet with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  4. End-of-Season Cleaning: Run the unit in Continuous Mode with the bucket in place for a few hours to dry internal components before storage.

Drainage Options

Two methods for water removal.

  1. Bucket Collection: Standard method. Monitor the Full Bucket indicator.
  2. Continuous Drain:
    • Locate the drain port on the back of the unit.
    • Remove the port plug.
    • Connect a standard garden hose (¾" inner diameter, not included). Ensure hose runs downward without kinks.
    • Place the hose end into a floor drain or suitable container.
    • The bucket must remain in place for the float switch to operate, but it will not fill.

Tip: For basement use, the continuous drain is highly recommended.

Care & Storage

Prepare the unit for long-term storage.

  1. Unplug the power cord.
  2. Empty and clean the water bucket. Let it air dry.
  3. Clean the air filter and let it dry completely.
  4. Coil the power cord neatly.
  5. Store the unit upright in a cool, dry place. Cover it to prevent dust accumulation.

CAUTION! Do not store the unit on its side or upside down. Never place heavy objects on top of it.
