Installation & Placement

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on level, stable surface.

  1. Remove packaging: Take off all tape and protective materials.
  2. Position unit: Place at least 12 inches from walls and furniture for proper airflow.
  3. Check level: Ensure unit is level for optimal bucket operation and water collection.
  4. Install drain hose (optional): Attach 5/8" ID hose to drain port for continuous drainage.
  5. Plug into grounded 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not place in tight enclosures or near heat sources. Ensure proper ventilation around the unit.

First-Time Setup

Plug in unit; control panel will illuminate.

  1. Install water bucket: Slide bucket into place until it clicks.
  2. Set humidity level: Press HUMIDITY button to select desired RH (start with 50%).

Tip: For energy efficiency, set humidity to 50-55% for most conditions.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Clean air filter: Remove every 2 weeks, wash with warm water, dry completely before reinstalling.
  2. Empty water bucket: Regularly empty and clean with mild detergent; rinse thoroughly.
  3. Clean exterior: Wipe with soft, damp cloth; do not use abrasive cleaners.
  4. Check drain hose: Ensure continuous drain hose is clear of obstructions.
  5. Off-season storage: Follow storage instructions when not in use for extended periods.

WARNING! Always unplug unit before cleaning. Never immerse in water or use harsh chemicals.

Storage Instructions

When storing unit for extended periods (winter months):

  1. Unplug unit and empty water bucket completely.
  2. Clean air filter and bucket as described in maintenance section.
  3. Run unit in Fan Only mode for 30 minutes to dry internal components.
  4. Coil power cord and secure with wrap.
  5. Store in cool, dry place protected from dust.
  6. Cover unit to prevent dust accumulation.
