Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a level, stable surface.

  1. Positioning: Place the dehumidifier at least 6 inches away from walls and furniture for proper airflow.
  2. Install Casters: Attach the four caster wheels to the base if not pre-installed.
  3. Check Filter: Ensure the washable air filter is properly seated in its slot.
  4. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded 115V, 60Hz outlet.
  5. Bucket Placement: Ensure the water collection bucket is correctly inserted and locked into place.

WARNING! Do not use an extension cord. Ensure the unit is upright for at least 24 hours before first use if it was laid on its side during transport.

First-Time Operation

Power on the dehumidifier; the digital display will illuminate.

  1. Set Desired Humidity: Press the HUMIDITY button to set your target level (35%-85%).
  2. Select Mode: Choose between CONTINUOUS (runs constantly) or AUTO (cycles based on humidity setting).
  3. Set Timer (Optional): Use the TIMER button to program automatic start/stop times.
  4. Monitor Operation: The display shows current room humidity and bucket status.
  5. Empty Bucket: When the FULL bucket indicator lights, power off, remove, and empty the bucket.

CAUTION! Always turn off and unplug the unit before removing the water bucket.

Humidity Setting: Adjust in 5% increments from 35% to 85%. Timer: Programmable in 1-hour increments up to 24 hours. Filter Reset: Press and hold for 3 seconds after cleaning the filter to reset the reminder light. Auto-Defrost: Activates automatically when coil temperature drops below 41°F (5°C).

Continuous Drain Option

For automatic water drainage, use the provided drain hose adapter.

  1. Locate the drain outlet on the back of the unit.
  2. Remove the rubber plug from the outlet.
  3. Attach a standard 5/8" inner diameter garden hose (not included) to the outlet.
  4. Route the hose to a floor drain, sink, or sump pump. Ensure the hose runs downhill without kinks.
  5. When using continuous drain, the bucket does not need to be in place. The bucket full alert will be disabled.

Tip: For best performance, the drain hose should be no longer than 10 feet.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Unplug the unit before any maintenance.

  1. Cleaning the Air Filter: Remove the filter every 2 weeks or as needed. Rinse under lukewarm water and let air dry completely before reinstalling. Press the FILTER RESET button.
  2. Cleaning the Exterior: Wipe the cabinet with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  3. Cleaning the Water Bucket: Empty and wash the bucket with mild detergent monthly to prevent mold/mildew. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. End-of-Season Cleaning: Run the unit in FAN mode for a few hours to dry internal components before storage.

CAUTION! Never immerse the unit in water. Do not operate without the air filter installed.

Storage Instructions

If not using the dehumidifier for an extended period:

  1. Unplug the unit from the electrical outlet.
  2. Empty and thoroughly clean the water bucket. Let it air dry.
  3. Clean the air filter and let it dry.
  4. Coil the power cord neatly and secure it.
  5. Store the unit upright in a cool, dry place. Cover it to prevent dust accumulation.

WARNING! Do not store the unit on its side or in a location where it may be exposed to freezing temperatures while wet.
