Installation & Placement

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a level, stable surface.

  1. Clearance: Ensure at least 12 inches of clearance on all sides for proper airflow.
  2. Positioning: Place in the center of the room or area with high humidity. Avoid corners.
  3. Power Source: Plug directly into a grounded 115V AC, 60Hz outlet. Do not use an extension cord.
  4. Drain Setup: For continuous drainage, attach hose to drain port and route to floor drain or sink.

WARNING! Do not place near heat sources or in direct sunlight. Ensure the unit is upright for at least 24 hours before first use if transported on its side.

First-Time Setup

Plug in the dehumidifier; the control panel will illuminate.

  1. Initial Run: The unit will start in Auto mode at 50% RH default setting.
  2. Set Desired Humidity: Press the HUMIDITY button to set your target level (30%-90%).
  3. Timer Setup (Optional): Use the TIMER button to program automatic start/stop times.
  4. Check Drainage: Ensure water tank is properly seated or continuous drain hose is securely attached.

Operation Modes

Auto Mode: Unit cycles on/off to maintain the set humidity level. Continuous Mode: Runs constantly until turned off or tank is full.

  1. Press POWER to turn on.
  2. Select mode: Press MODE to cycle between Auto and Continuous.
  3. In Auto Mode: Set target humidity with HUMIDITY buttons.
  4. Adjust Fan: Press FAN to select High or Low speed.
  5. For Timer: Press TIMER, then use arrows to set hours, press TIMER again to confirm.

Tip: Use Continuous mode for rapid moisture removal after flooding or in very damp conditions.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Unplug the unit before any maintenance.

  1. Empty Water Tank: Remove tank, pour out water, clean with mild detergent, rinse, and dry before reinserting.
  2. Clean Air Filter: Remove filter every 2 weeks or when FILTER light is on. Wash with warm, soapy water, rinse, and air dry completely.
  3. Exterior Cleaning: Wipe cabinet with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  4. Condenser Coil: Vacuum the rear coil annually to remove dust.
  5. End-of-Season: Follow storage procedures if not using for extended periods.

WARNING! Never immerse the unit in water. Do not operate without the filter.

Storage & Winterization

If storing the dehumidifier for more than a few weeks:

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Empty and thoroughly dry the water tank.
  3. Clean the air filter and let it dry.
  4. Run the unit in Fan Only mode (if available) for 30 minutes to dry internal components.
  5. Coil the power cord neatly.
  6. Store in a cool, dry place, covered to prevent dust accumulation.
