Installation & Placement

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on level, stable surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and tape.
  2. Place unit on a flat, level surface with at least 12 inches of clearance on all sides for proper airflow.
  3. Ensure the unit is positioned away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
  4. Install the casters by inserting them into the base slots and pressing firmly until they click into place.
  5. For initial use, allow the unit to stand upright for at least 24 hours if it was tilted during transport.

WARNING! Do not operate in temperatures below 41°F (5°C). Ensure proper ventilation around the unit.

First-Time Setup

Plug into dedicated 115V AC outlet; follow initial setup steps.

  1. Insert the water bucket securely into the unit until it clicks into place.
  2. Plug the power cord into a grounded 115V electrical outlet.
  3. Press the POWER button to turn on the unit.
  4. Set desired humidity level using the UP/DOWN buttons (recommended initial setting: 50%).
  5. Select operating mode: Normal or Turbo for faster moisture removal.
  6. Program the timer if needed using the TIMER button and UP/DOWN arrows.

CAUTION! Use only a properly grounded outlet. Do not use extension cords.

Controls and Settings

Access all functions via electronic control panel. Front Panel: POWER, MODE, TIMER, UP/DOWN buttons, and digital display.

Display Indicators: Power, Bucket Full, Turbo Mode, Timer, Current Humidity, Set Humidity.

Humidity Control: Adjust from 35% to 85% RH using UP/DOWN buttons. Timer: Program 24-hour on/off schedule. Mode Selection: Normal (standard fan speed) or Turbo (high fan speed). Auto Defrost: Automatically activates when coil temperature drops below freezing. Auto Restart: Resumes operation after power outage.

Operating Modes

Normal Mode: Standard dehumidification with moderate fan speed. Turbo Mode: Increased fan speed for faster moisture removal.

  1. Press POWER to turn unit on.
  2. Use UP/DOWN buttons to set desired humidity level (display shows current room humidity).
  3. Press MODE to switch between Normal and Turbo operation.
  4. Press TIMER to program automatic start/stop times (use UP/DOWN to set hours).
  5. Unit will automatically cycle on/off to maintain set humidity level.

Tip: Use Turbo mode initially in very damp conditions, then switch to Normal for maintenance.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Air Filter Cleaning: Clean every 2 weeks or as needed. Remove filter, wash with warm water and mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and air dry completely before reinstalling.
  2. Water Bucket Cleaning: Empty and clean bucket weekly with mild detergent to prevent mold/mildew.
  3. Exterior Cleaning: Wipe cabinet with soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  4. Coil Inspection: Check evaporator coil annually for dust buildup; vacuum if necessary.
  5. End of Season: Clean thoroughly before storage (see Care & Storage section).

WARNING! Always unplug unit before performing any maintenance.

Draining Options

Two methods: Manual bucket emptying or continuous drain.

Manual Draining:

  1. When bucket full light illuminates, unit will automatically shut off.
  2. Remove bucket by pulling handle outward and lifting straight up.
  3. Carry bucket to drain location, pour out water.
  4. Replace bucket securely until it clicks into place.
  5. Unit will automatically resume operation.

Continuous Drain:

  1. Remove drain plug from back of unit.
  2. Attach standard garden hose (¾" diameter) to drain outlet.
  3. Route hose to floor drain or suitable drainage area.
  4. Ensure hose has downward slope without kinks.
  5. Unit will operate continuously without bucket full shutdown.

Care & Storage

Proper storage prevents damage during off-season periods.

  1. Unplug unit from electrical outlet.
  2. Empty and thoroughly clean water bucket.
  3. Clean air filter and allow to dry completely.
  4. Run unit in Fan Only mode for 24 hours to dry internal components.
  5. Coil drain hose (if attached) and store with unit.
  6. Store in upright position in dry, covered area.
  7. Cover unit to prevent dust accumulation.

CAUTION! Do not store unit with water in bucket. Ensure complete dryness before storage.
