Controls and Settings

Access all functions via the electronic control panel on top of the unit.

Control Panel Buttons & Indicators: POWER (On/Off), HUMIDITY (Set target %), FAN (High/Low speed), TIMER (Set 1-24 hour on/off delay), FILTER ALERT (Indicates when to clean filter), FULL BUCKET (Illuminates when bucket needs emptying).

Digital Display: Shows current room humidity, target humidity setting, fan speed icon, timer status, and alert indicators.

Settings Overview: Humidity Control (35%-85%), Fan Speed (High for fast dehumidification, Low for quiet operation), Timer (Program start or stop delay up to 24 hours), Auto-Restart (Enabled by default).

Operation Modes

Normal Dehumidification: Unit runs until target humidity is reached, then cycles on/off to maintain it.

Continuous Mode: Press and hold HUMIDITY for 3 seconds to run continuously regardless of room humidity.

Auto-Defrost Mode: Activates automatically when coil temperature drops below 41°F (5°C). Compressor pauses, fan continues.

  1. For optimal efficiency, keep doors and windows closed in the room being dehumidified.
  2. In very damp conditions, start with HIGH fan speed and a low humidity setting (e.g., 35%).
  3. Use LOW fan speed for quieter nighttime operation.

Tip: The unit is most effective in temperatures above 65°F (18°C).

Maintenance & Cleaning

Unplug the unit before performing any maintenance.

  1. Emptying the Water Bucket: When the FULL BUCKET light illuminates, pull out the bucket, empty it, and reinsert firmly until it clicks.
  2. Cleaning the Air Filter: Every 2 weeks or when FILTER alert lights up, remove the filter from the rear grille. Rinse with lukewarm water and let dry completely before reinstalling.
  3. Cleaning the Exterior: Wipe the cabinet with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  4. End-of-Season Storage: Empty and dry the bucket. Clean the filter. Run the unit in FAN-only mode for 30 minutes to dry internal components. Coil the power cord and store in a cool, dry place.

CAUTION! Never operate without the air filter or water bucket properly installed. Do not immerse the unit in water.

Continuous Drain Option

For unattended operation, use the continuous drain feature.

  1. Ensure the unit is unplugged and the water bucket is empty and in place.
  2. Remove the drain cap from the rear of the unit.
  3. Connect a standard 5/8" inner diameter garden hose (not included) to the drain outlet. Secure with a hose clamp if necessary.
  4. Route the hose to a floor drain, sink, or sump pump. Ensure the hose has a downward slope without kinks.
  5. Plug in and operate the unit normally. Water will bypass the bucket and drain continuously.

Note: The FULL BUCKET alert and auto-shutoff are disabled in continuous drain mode. Regularly check the hose for clogs.
