Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a level, stable floor.

  1. Positioning: Place unit at least 6-12 inches from walls and furniture for proper airflow.
  2. Check Filter: Ensure the washable air filter is installed correctly.
  3. Bucket Installation: Insert the empty water collection bucket securely until it clicks.
  4. Continuous Drainage (Optional): Attach a standard garden hose (not included) to the drain port at the back.
  5. Power Connection: Plug into a dedicated 115V AC, 60Hz outlet. Do not use an extension cord.

WARNING! Operate only in temperatures between 41°F (5°C) and 95°F (35°C). Ensure the unit is upright for at least 24 hours before first use if transported on its side.

First-Time Setup

Plug in the unit. The control panel will illuminate.

  1. Set Humidity Level: Press the "Humidity" button to set your desired level (recommended 45-50% for general comfort).
  2. Select Fan Speed: Choose between High (faster dehumidification) or Low (quieter operation).
  3. Timer Setup (Optional): Use the Timer buttons to program automatic start or stop times.
  4. Begin Operation: Press the "Power" button. The unit will begin sensing room humidity and operate as needed.

Humidity Control: Set between 35% and 85% in 5% increments. The unit cycles on/off automatically to maintain set point.

Timer: Program to turn the unit ON or OFF after 1-24 hours.

Filter Reset: Press and hold the "Filter" button for 3 seconds after cleaning the filter to reset the alert light.

Operation Modes

Normal Mode: Set desired humidity and fan speed. Unit runs until humidity is reached, then enters fan-only mode.

  1. Continuous Mode: Set humidity to "CONT" (Continuous). Unit runs constantly regardless of room humidity.
  2. Laundry Mode: For drying clothes indoors. Use Continuous mode with High fan speed.
  3. Auto-Defrost: In low temperatures, the compressor may cycle off while the fan runs to melt frost on coils. This is automatic.
  4. Timer Operation: Set the timer for delayed start (e.g., before you get home) or auto shutoff.

Tip: For maximum efficiency, keep doors and windows closed in the room being dehumidified.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Emptying the Bucket: When the "Full" light illuminates, power off, pull out the bucket, and empty it. Replace securely.
  2. Cleaning the Air Filter: Clean the filter every 2-4 weeks or as needed. Rinse under warm water, let dry completely, and reinstall.
  3. Cleaning the Exterior: Wipe the cabinet with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals.
  4. End-of-Season Storage: Empty and dry the bucket. Clean the filter. Coil the power cord. Store upright in a dry place.
  5. Continuous Drainage: Ensure the hose is not kinked and slopes downward away from the unit.

WARNING! Always unplug the unit before performing any maintenance. Do not tilt or turn the unit upside down.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug before cleaning. Use only a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse in water or use abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Never use gasoline, thinner, or other chemicals for cleaning. Do not spray water directly on the unit.
