Installation & Placement

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a flat, stable surface.

  1. Choose Location: Place in center of room or area with high humidity, away from walls and furniture for proper airflow.
  2. Clearance: Ensure at least 12 inches of clearance on all sides, especially air intake and exhaust.
  3. Check Surface: Place on a level floor to prevent water leakage.
  4. Power Outlet: Plug into a dedicated 115V outlet; avoid extension cords.
  5. Drain Setup: For continuous drainage, attach hose to drain port and route to floor drain or sink.

WARNING! Do not place in areas below 41°F (5°C) to prevent coil freezing. Ensure the unit is upright for 24 hours before first use if tilted during transport.

First-Time Setup

Plug in the unit; the control panel will illuminate.

  1. Initial Dry-Out: Allow unit to sit upright for 24 hours if it was laid on its side.
  2. Install Water Tank: Ensure the bucket is correctly seated and empty.
  3. Set Desired Humidity: Press the HUMIDITY button to set target level (recommended 45-50%).
  4. Select Mode: Press MODE to choose Normal or Turbo operation.
  5. Set Timer (Optional): Use TIMER button to program automatic start/stop times.
  6. Start Operation: Press POWER to begin dehumidification.

CAUTION! Handle the water tank with care to avoid spills. Do not operate without the air filter installed.

Access all functions via the digital control panel on top of the unit.

Control Panel Buttons: POWER, MODE (Normal/Turbo), HUMIDITY (Up/Down), TIMER (Set Hours), FILTER ALERT (Reset).

Display Indicators: Current Humidity %, Target Humidity, Tank Full icon, Filter Alert icon, Timer icon, Mode icons (Normal/Turbo/Defrost).

Humidity Setting: Adjust between 35% and 85% in 5% increments. Unit cycles on/off automatically to maintain set level.

Timer: Program up to 24 hours for automatic start or stop delay.

Filter Alert: LED illuminates after 250 hours of operation as a reminder to clean the filter. Press and hold FILTER button for 3 seconds to reset.

Operation Modes

Normal Mode: Standard fan speed for quiet, energy-efficient operation.

Turbo Mode: High fan speed for maximum moisture removal in high-humidity conditions.

Auto-Defrost Mode: Automatically activates when coil temperature drops near freezing; unit temporarily pauses dehumidification to defrost coil, then resumes.

Continuous Drain Mode: Connect a standard garden hose (¾” inner diameter, not included) to the drain port at the back. Ensure hose runs downward to drain without kinks. In this mode, the water tank can remain in place but will not fill.

  1. Turn off and unplug unit.
  2. Remove drain port cap from back of unit.
  3. Attach hose securely.
  4. Route hose to floor drain, sink, or sump pump.
  5. Plug in and restart unit.

Tip: For best efficiency, keep doors and windows closed in the room being dehumidified.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Always unplug the unit before performing any maintenance.

  1. Emptying the Water Tank:
    • When tank is full, "Tank Full" indicator lights and unit shuts off.
    • Grip handle, pull tank straight out.
    • Carry to sink, pour out water.
    • Clean interior with mild detergent and soft cloth; rinse thoroughly.
    • Dry tank and reinsert firmly until it clicks into place.
  2. Cleaning the Air Filter:
    • Remove filter by pulling the tab on the rear grille.
    • Vacuum loose dust or rinse under lukewarm water.
    • Allow filter to air dry completely before reinstalling.
    • Clean filter every 2 weeks for optimal performance.
    • Reset FILTER alert light after cleaning.
  3. Exterior Cleaning: Wipe cabinet with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  4. End-of-Season Cleaning: Empty and dry tank, clean filter, run unit in Fan Only mode for 30 minutes to dry internal components before storage.

CAUTION! Never immerse unit in water. Do not operate without the filter installed.

Storage Instructions

If not using for an extended period:

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Empty and thoroughly dry the water tank.
  3. Clean the air filter and let it dry.
  4. Coil the power cord neatly.
  5. Store in a cool, dry place, preferably in the original box.
  6. Store upright; do not place heavy items on top.
