Installation & Placement

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a level, stable surface.

  1. Choose location: Place in center of room or area with high humidity, away from walls and furniture for proper airflow.
  2. Clearance: Ensure at least 12 inches of clearance on all sides, especially the air intake and exhaust.
  3. Check filter: Ensure washable filter is properly installed.
  4. Power connection: Plug directly into a grounded 120V AC, 60Hz outlet. Do not use an extension cord.

WARNING! Do not place in tight enclosures or near heat sources. Ensure the unit is upright for at least 24 hours before first use if it was tilted during transport.

First-Time Setup

Plug in the unit; the control panel will illuminate.

  1. Set humidity level: Press the HUMIDITY button to select desired level (40-50% is recommended for comfort).
  2. Select fan speed: Press FAN button to choose between HIGH or LOW speed.
  3. Set timer (optional): Use TIMER buttons to program automatic start/stop times.
  4. Bucket check: Ensure the water bucket is correctly seated and empty.
  5. Start operation: Press the POWER button to begin dehumidification.

CAUTION! Handle the water bucket with care to avoid spills. Do not operate without the filter installed.

Operation Modes

Auto Mode: Unit runs until set humidity is reached, then cycles on/off to maintain it.

Continuous Mode: Runs continuously regardless of humidity level until manually turned off or bucket is full.

Timer Mode: Set to turn the unit ON or OFF after a delay of 1-24 hours.

  1. Press TIMER button, then use +/- to set hours.
  2. Press TIMER again to confirm. The unit will turn off/on after the set time.

Tip: Use Continuous mode for rapid moisture removal after flooding or spills. Use Auto mode for everyday energy-efficient operation.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Unplug the unit before any maintenance.

  1. Emptying the Bucket: Remove bucket when full (indicator light will illuminate). Carry carefully to avoid spills. Empty, dry, and reinsert.
  2. Cleaning the Filter: Remove the filter every 2 weeks or as needed. Rinse with lukewarm water and let air dry completely before reinstalling. Press and hold FILTER button for 3 seconds to reset the indicator.
  3. Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the cabinet with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  4. End-of-Season Storage: Empty and clean the bucket and filter. Run the unit in Fan Only mode for a few hours to dry the coils. Coil the power cord. Store upright in a dry location.

CAUTION! Never immerse the unit in water. Do not operate without the filter.

Drainage Options

Manual (Bucket): Default method. Empty the bucket when full.

Continuous Drain (Recommended):

  1. Turn off and unplug the unit.
  2. Remove the bucket.
  3. Connect a standard 5/8" inner diameter garden hose (not included) to the drain port at the back of the unit.
  4. Route the hose to a floor drain, sink, or sump pump. Ensure the hose runs downhill without kinks.
  5. Replace the bucket. The unit will now drain continuously, bypassing the bucket.

Note: The auto-shutoff for a full bucket is disabled in continuous drain mode.

Safety Features

Auto Shutoff: Turns off the compressor and lights the FULL indicator when the water bucket is full.

Auto Defrost: Automatically cycles the compressor off to defrost the coils when frost is detected in low temperatures.

Auto Restart: If power is lost and restored, the unit will automatically restart with the previous settings.

Tip Over Protection: Internal switch may shut off the unit if it is tilted excessively.

WARNING! Always turn off and unplug the unit before moving, cleaning, or servicing.
